Procedure

The procedure requires multiple tiny injections in the areas you would like to improve. Natalia uses a fine sterile needle to carefully place these injections into the specific facial muscles to create the aesthetic goals discussed in the consultation.

Transient stinging of the skin is normal after injection (10 to 15 minutes) and any small red spots on the skin usually disappear within a few hours.  Anaesthesia of the area is not normally required. If bruising is to occur, it is usually apparent on day 2 or day 3 and will typically resolve over 5 to 10 days, although bruising is rare.

The treatment effects can be seen within 3 days and the complete effect is apparent after 2 weeks. Treatment lasts for 2.5 – 4 months and your final results depend on your skin condition in the treatment area, any pre-existing medical conditions, your desired results, the general condition of your skin and healing capability. The effects last longer with progressive treatments.

Potential Side Effects

Side-effects are very rare, and minimal if they do happen. Some clients experience a tenderness or mild bruising at the injection site. Ptosis or drooping of the eyelid is very rare, much less so with an experienced doctor.

Treatment is not to be performed if pregnant or breastfeeding, as there is no research to prove it is safe for your foetus or child.

Care must be taken if you are diagnosed with neurological or bleeding disorders, currently suffering with a skin infection or allergy or taking particular medications. Dr Natalia will be able to advise you further.

Please discuss any current medication with Dr Natalia, especially if you are taking aspirin on ibuprofen. Medication may need to be stopped before treatment.

Step One

Complete a Pre-screen

All new clients are required to complete a short and simple pre-screen via email to ensure they are medically suitable for injectable treatments, and injectables are an appropriate treatment for their concern.

Step Two

Face-to-face

Once the pre-screen has been successfully completed, a full face to face no obligation consultation with Natalia is arranged. Prior to your appointment, you will be asked to complete a secure online medical history form.

Step Three

Concerns and treatment goals

At your consultation, there will be an in-depth discussion around your specific concerns and treatment goals allowing Natalia to advise on the most effective treatment options. Natalia will check that nothing has changed in your medical history since you completed the forms.

Step Four

Procedure expectations

You will also be given detailed information on the suggested procedure and what you should expect both during and after treatment. It is then your choice as to whether you wish to have the treatment immediately or take some time to consider your options.

Step Five

Book a follow-up appointment

You are invited to book a follow-up appointment at least 2 weeks after your initial treatment for a review. An adjustment can be made at this point if needed. This follow up appointment must be booked within 2 - 4 weeks following your initial treatment.

Step Six

Book your post 3 month treatment

You are invited to book back in for your next treatment any time after 3 months from your initial treatment.
