How long do dermal fillers last?

Are dermal fillers painful?

What should I avoid after dermal filler treatment?

What should I expect after the treatment?
The skin could develop small red spots which usually disappear within a few hours. Most normal activities can usually be resumed immediately.
If bruising is to occur, it is usually apparent on day 2 or day 3 and will typically resolve over 5 to 10 days. Please be aware that if you are taking aspirin, fish oils, alcohol, high doses of Vitamin E or any other anti-coagulants, the risk of bruising may be higher.
It is normal to have a degree of swelling and oedema after your treatment, especially if a cannula was used, or if you have had the lips or eyes treated. Swelling usually takes around a week to resolve, however it can take longer than this and it is not unusual to have residual swelling for up to a month. Swelling will usually reach its peak at around 2 to 3 days post-procedure.
